GUILDERLAND, N.Y. — According to the Guilderland Police Department, a car crashed into the Chase Bank building on Western Avenue at around 11:48 a.m. on Monday.

Police say 84-year-old Michael Macaione, of Schenectady, crashed his 2004 Lexus 4-door sedan into the bank.

Macaione told police that he attempted to brake when his foot slipped onto the gas pedal, accelerating the car into the building, Guilderland police said in their press release.

At this time, police say no injuries were reported and no tickets were issued to Macaione.
