ASTORIA — “Small Treasures,” a winter fundraiser by Astoria Visual Arts, will feature an exhibit, silent auction and holiday party in support of ongoing and expanding programs.
Community members are invited to donate up to six original works of art or fine craft, no larger than 10 inches. These could be paintings, ceramics, jewelry, fiber arts, ornaments or cards.
Artists may choose to receive up to 30% of the sale of their artwork. Donation hours run through Thursday, when items will be accepted from 10 a.m. to noon, or by appointment.
A winter art sale at the Astoria Visual Arts gallery begins from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, during Astoria’s Second Saturday Art Walk, and continues from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday before a holiday party from 3 to 5 p.m.
Astoria High School students Audrey Cereghino and Dylan Morrow will play live music at the event, performing as part of a senior project. A suggested donation of $5 to $20 is appreciated for the party and festive attire is encouraged. For more details, visit www.astoriavisualarts.org.
