Men’s Tennis Sends Duo to Fayetteville For ITF Future 15k Pro Tournament


FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Ole miss men’s tennis will be sending two Rebels, John Hallquist Lithen and Noah Schlagenhauf, to Fayetteville for their fall season finale, with the ITF Future Tournament set to run Oct. 30-Nov. 5.
 
The Rebel duo will kick off action Monday at 10 a.m. CT in the singles qualifying first round at the Billingsley Tennis Center. 
 
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
Monday, October 30 – Qualifying Singles (Beginning at 10 a.m. CT)
Tuesday, October 31 – Main Draw Singles First Day (Beginning at 10 a.m. CT)
 
THE REBELS
John Hallquist Lithen (Sr.) – Gothenburg, Sweden

  • Set to compete in ITF Fayetteville qualifying singles
  • Set to compete in ITF Fayetteville doubles draw with Noah Schlagenhauf
  • Registers a 4-3 record in singles in the 2023 fall season
  • Enters 2023 fall season ranked No. 77 in singles by the ITA
  • Finished 2022-23 with a record of 22-9 in singles and 15-20 in doubles

 
Noah Schlagenhauf (So.) – Buertingen, Germany

  • Set to compete in ITF Fayetteville qualifying singles
  • Set to compete in ITF Fayetteville doubles draw with John Hallquist Lithen
  • Has a 7-4 record in singles in the 2023 fall season
  • Compiled a 12-9 singles record and 7-9 doubles record in the 2022-23 season

 
REBELS MAKE RUN AT ITA SOUTHERN REGION CHAMPIONSHIPS
Ole Miss saw some deep tournament runs made at the 2023 ITA Southern Region Championships in Auburn, Alabama, just two weeks ago, finding success in both singles and doubles play. Lithen, Nikola Slavic and Lukas Engelhardt battled their way to the tournament’s Round of 64 in singles, while Slavic and Engelhardt also finished as Southern Regional Runners-Up in the doubles bracket.
 
SLAVIC/ENGELHARDT TRAVEL TO ITA NATIONAL FALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
With their runner-up finish in Auburn, Slavic and Engelhardt will be missing the team’s trip to Fayetteville this week as the duo heads out west for the 2023 ITA National Fall Championships in San Diego, running from Nov. 1-5 at the Barnes Tennis Center.
