DuBOIS – Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes certified physician assistant Autumn Malliard, PA-C, to its medical staff.
Malliard joins the team at Penn Highlands Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, located at 145 Hospital Ave., Suite 300, in DuBois.
She provides exceptional care to patients experiencing conditions related to the tissues and organs within the chest wall such as the lungs, esophagus and trachea and diaphragm.
Common treatments and procedures include bronchoscopy, cervical mediastinoscopy, chest wall resection and reconstruction, decortication, EBUS, Heller myotomy, hiatal hernia surgery via Nissen fundoplication, lung resection, Nuss procedure, pericardial window, rub plating, robotic thoracic surgery, thymectomy and tunneled catheter placement.
Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Malliard gained clinical experience at Penn Highlands Trauma Department in DuBois; Meadville Medical Center OB/GYN in Meadville; Family Center for Recovery in Lantana, Fla.; Penn Highlands Neurosurgery in DuBois; Penn Highlands Internal Medicine in DuBois; Primary Care Associates in Brookville; Butler Emergency Department in Butler; AHN General Surgery in Grove City; and Selvaraj Pediatrics in Butler.
Malliard earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and Bachelor of Science in Biology at Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock.
