LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Nevada’s mental health takes center stage at a conference focusing on mental health.

The NAMI Nevada Annual Education Conference kicks off on Wednesday.

The two-day event will first focus on youth mental health, followed by adult mental health.

This comes as there is optimism about where Nevada is going.

While we’ve heard many of the statistics about Nevada’s struggles with resources, frequently ranking last or near last, when it comes to access to care, nonprofits like Hope Means Nevada and the 988 awareness project are trying to fill the gap by providing peer support and projects underscoring the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
