The Lyon County History Center is excited to announce a call for art for its third annual Ad Astra Art Show, a Community Connection Exhibit. This year’s theme is “Sunflowers,” and artists and art owners are invited to submit their works for consideration. The exhibition will be held from January 14 to February 8 at the Lyon County History Center, located at 711 Commercial Street.
Submission Guidelines:
Theme: Sunflowers in any interpretation—symbolic, abstract, or realistic—highlighting their connection to Kansas heritage and natural beauty.
Eligible Mediums: Painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, textile, and digital art. Up to four (4) works of art can be submitted.
Submission Deadline: Email Lisa Soller at [email protected] along with a photo of art to be submitted. If chosen, artwork must be delivered to the Lyon County History Center January 7-10, 2025.
Event Highlights:
Closing Reception: Join us on February 7 at 5:00 PM to celebrate the closing of the Ad Astra Art Show refreshments and a chance to meet the artists and owners.
