STEVENS POINT – Big Lots Home will open later this year in Stevens Point.

According to a release from the company, Big Lots intends to open this winter at 5601 U.S. 10 E. and is planning to hold a grand opening event in early December.

The Stevens Point store will feature an expanded selection of home décor and furniture at prices up to 60% less than other retailers. Big Lots will also offer products for the entire home, categorized by rooms in vignettes throughout the store. Many products will be exclusive to Big Lots and offered in limited quantity.

Jason Merritt, the district manager for Big Lots, said the team is excited to share the new store with the Stevens Point community.

“We look forward to welcoming Stevens Point shoppers to their new Big Lots Home and following along as they try new décor trends and enjoy a new and streamlined shopping experience close to home,” Merritt said.

Big Lots will join a line of retail stores opening this year near Dunham’s Sports, which moved to the former Walmart site in 2009. Ross Dress for Less opened Oct. 7, and Five Below is scheduled to open Nov. 17 at the same site.
