COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A suspect remains at large after pointing what appeared to be a gun at officers overnight.

According to a CSPD lieutenant, a couple of officers were parked near a Carl’s Jr. on Chelton near Academy doing paperwork when a car pulled up 30 feet from them.

“A suspect leaned out of the rear passenger window and pointed an object at officers that appeared, from its shape and from how the suspect held it, to be a firearm,” the lieutenant said.

The officers briefly went after the car, but lost it and didn’t pursue it further.

Police are now investigating the incident. Due to the stage of the investigation, officers are not releasing a suspect description at this time.
