Local artists are invited to submit heart-themed art for the February community art show entitled “Follow the Hearts to Salida” in the Paquette Gallery at Salida SteamPlant, 220 W. Sackett Ave.

The show is sponsored by the Salida Arts & Culture Department and Salida Council for the Arts. 

Tina Gramann, city community engagement supervisor, said the show is open to all skill levels, all mediums and just needs to be family friendly. This is the first time the city has done a show like this. It’s open to anyone within a 65-mile radius, she added.

“Emerging artists and especially those without formal gallery space are encouraged to submit,” Gramann said. 

Artists may submit more than one piece for the community show, which will be on display from Feb. 4 through March 4. The opening reception will be at 5 p.m. Feb. 6.
