St Denis Medical was NBC’s top-rated new show among 18-49s

US broadcaster NBC has renewed its hospital-set comedy St Denis Medical for a second season.

The mockumentary, co-created and executive produced by Justin Spitzer and Eric Ledgin, was the network’s top-rated new show in the 2024/25 broadcast season in the 18-49 demo.

It follows an underfunded and understaffed Oregon hospital where the doctors and nurses do their utmost to treat patients while maintaining their own sanity.

Universal Television, which sits within Universal Studio Group, produces the show alongside Spitzer Holding Company.

Other executive producers on the series include Simon Heuer, Ruben Fleischer, Bridget Kyle and Vicky Luu.

The ensemble cast includes Wendi McLendon-Covey, David Alan Grier, Allison Tolman, Josh Lawson, Kahyun Kim, Mekki Leeper and Kaliko Kauahi.
