From the very start of our journey, we saw the Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack and Jeep Wagoneer S arrive at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal’s reception dock. It was a landmark return for Stellantis, which had not participated in previous editions of the event. The Ram 1500 RHO was also on display at the brand’s stand.

Kia will present several new models, including the 2026 EV9 GT 2026 and the PV5 WKNDR Concept.

The attractions at the Ford booth were no less numerous, with the new 2025 Ford Maverick Lobo and the Mustang GTD on display.

Finally, General Motors offers something for everyone: the BrightDrop electric van, Cadillac Optiq and Vistiq, Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and Silverado EV, and GMC Sierra EV Denali.

Once again this year, wealthy businessman Luc Poirier is showcasing part of his Ferrari collection at the Montreal Auto Show. His exceptional cars are displayed on the fifth floor beside the Lamborghini, Lotus, and McLaren exhibits.

Despite all of these vehicles, 16 brands will again be absent this year. It’s disappointing to learn that Acura, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Honda, Maserati, Mazda, Mini, Porsche, Rivian and Rolls-Royce won’t have a stand to showcase their current range at the 2025 Montreal Auto Show. Although this list is mainly made up of luxury brands, it’s clear that many mainstream manufacturers have chosen not to attend this year’s show.

Furthermore, Genesis and VinFast have decided not to repeat their experience at the 2025 Montreal Auto Show. The Korean luxury car brand and the Vietnamese electric vehicle brand have participated in previous event editions.

Although the list of absentees is long, we can’t overlook the fact that some brands are returning to the 2025 Montreal Auto Show. These include Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Volvo, Subaru, and Stellantis. Lucid and Polestar will be participating for the first time. Just like last year, Volkswagen will be represented by local dealers.

The Montreal Auto Show opens on January 17 and runs until January 26 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
