Last November, at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Hyundai unveiled a new member of its electric vehicle family with great fanfare: the 2026 Ioniq 9. Joining the ranks of the electric vehicle family alongside the Kona Electric, Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6, the new Ioniq 9 stands out as a three-row midsize SUV.

The 2026 Ioniq 9 is built on Hyundai’s E-GMP electric architecture. It is equipped with a 110.3 kWh battery. This electric midsize SUV can travel up to 539 kilometres on a single charge.

In addition to these two eye-catchers, Hyundai is showcasing its entire range at the 2025 Montreal Auto Show. Visitors can also get behind the wheel of a simulator to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the N performance brand.

Other attractions include a 2008 Hyundai Elantra with an odometer reading of one million kilometres. This car was restored entirely during a Quebec television programme.

Hyundai without Genesis

While Hyundai remains faithful to the 2025 Montreal Auto Show, the same cannot be said for Genesis. The Korean luxury car brand is staying away from the Montreal show. Genesis was present at previous editions of the event.
