Nutrition bars recalled because of undeclared allergen

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Lifestyle Evolution Inc. has recalled select lots of nutrition bars because of the potential presence of an undeclared allergen – milk.

The recalled products, which can pose a serious risk to those with milk allergies or sensitivities, was announced initially by retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Wegmans and Giant Eagle in December after the company received 11 consumer reports of allergic reactions.

The products were distributed nationwide through retailers and online.

The recall affects individually wrapped NuGo Dark Chocolate Chip and NuGo Dark Pretzel bars in 12- or 18-count multipack boxes. The recalled lot codes have best-by dates ranging from 12/14/2025 to 12/23/2025.

Consumers who bought the recalled products should return them to the place of purchase or throw them away.
