
The Fayetteville City Council voted unanimously on Tuesday night to approve a 10-year art and culture plan. The plan includes a layout for adding and enhancing the art scene in Fayetteville by adding things like artist classes, additional public art spaces, workshops and public programming. Olivia Trimble has lived in Fayetteville her whole life and has been a full-time muralist and sign painter for 13 years. “We have a large community of elders that have made this a really vibrant place, and I think that this plan will just help younger generations continue to carry that torch forward,” Trimble said. Trimble was chair of the Fayetteville Art Council five years ago. “We pushed for this then,” Trimble said. “We’ve been working towards this for a long time, and I think it’s just going to just create fuel for more art and more experience.”
