ARLINGTON, MA — The Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture has awarded a total of $22,000 to 23 local artists, according to a report from YourArlington.
The ACAC accepts grant applications from artists each fall, in which they describe what creative projects that could benefit from additional funding. This year, the organization received 60 applications. The ACAC grants committee selected recipients based on how much their art collaborates with community organizations, businesses, and historically marginalized groups. Several of the funded projects relate to Arlington250, the town’s celebration of the start of the American Revolution.
