Ever stood in front of a band playing at AthFest and imagined how much fun it would be? Looking to start selling your art at public events? Applications are now open for performers, artists and vendors for this year’s AthFest Music and Arts Festival, which is scheduled to take place June 20-22.
AthFest is one of the annual fundraising events for AthFest Educates, a nonprofit that is committed to sustaining and advancing music and arts education for K-12 youth in Athens-Clarke County. The organization awarded $65,738.41 in grants for the 2024-25 school year, which brought its total to over $690,000 to date since its founding in 2009.
Submission forms
- ARTIST MARKET: Fill out the Google form at athfest.com/athfest-artist-market. AthFest expects to have between 50 and 60 booth spots available. Application fee is $25 per artist until April 1, when it increases to $50 and again to $75 after May 1. AthFest’s website says the commercial vendor fee is “significantly higher.”
- COMMERCIAL VENDORS: The Google form at athfest.com/retail-vendors isn’t exactly an application to sell at the event. The vendor selection committee uses the form to identify vendors, in addition to those on their preferred list, whose offerings may align with the mission and values of AthFest.
- MUSICIANS AND PERFORMERS: Fill out the Google form at athfest.com/athfest-musician-applications before March 7. There are between 100 and 150 slots available for booking over the three-day weekend. There is not a separate application form for those looking to be featured in the KidsFest program.
More in local arts:Submissions now open for the Athens Film Festival. Here’s how to send in your movie.
