Alexander Zverev gets sanction order for mistreatment of his former partner

Alexander Zverev has received a sanction order from a German court for bodily injuries caused to his ex-girlfriend Olga Sharypova, according to prestigious British outlet The Guardian.

Additionally, the tennisplayer would be obliged to pay fines to an amount of 450,000 euros, although he has announced that he will appeal said order. These types of injunctions are used by the Prosecutor’s Office in Germany when a trial is not considered necessary, although in this case “Sascha’s” appeal will automatically lead to a public trial.

Zverev is accused of physically abusing his ex-partner and damaging her health during an argument in Berlin in May 2020. The player has denied the accusation. His lawyers, through a statement, have remarked that they have medical evidence to support his client’s version.
