New Providence student art exhibit showcases creativity and personalized learning

The New Providence School District, in partnership with the Borough of New Providence, has unveiled the 4th Annual Student Art Exhibit at New Providence Borough Hall.

The exhibit, which was installed on Jan. 23, features the work of over 50 student artists from all four district schools.

The Lincoln Conference Room displays artwork depicting images of the Borough of New Providence, while the Lobby of Borough Hall showcases a diverse collection of visual art pieces created using various techniques.

The lobby display cases, made possible by a grant from the Union County Local Art Program, highlight three-dimensional art.

The exhibit reflects the district’s goal of personalized learning, which empowers students to create self-directed artwork.

Under the guidance of their teachers, who provide instruction in various visual arts skills, students have developed the creative confidence to produce independent work that truly engages them in their learning process.

Student artists, families, staff, and special guests were invited to preview the gallery and were honored for their contributions during the installation.

The Art Gallery is open to the public during regular business hours, allowing the community to appreciate the talent and dedication of New Providence’s young artists.
