It is no surprise to learn that Louise Lane loves to dance, as her paintings are a vibrant celebration of color and movement. Ms. Lane, one of the earliest members of the Falmouth Artists Guild back in the 1950s, is now 92. Her one-artist show, “The Power of Color: Paintings by Louise Lane,” is on view this month in the Sigel Gallery at the Falmouth Art Center.

An opening reception for the show is scheduled for Friday, February 7, from 4 to 6 PM. The reception is potluck and attendees are welcome to bring a sweet or savory appetizer to share.
