The Airdrie Arts and Culture Council (AACC) is launching a membership directory in a bid to connect local artists, arts organizations, cultural enthusiasts, and businesses.

Through community centred membership tiers—Artist, Advocate, Champion, and Companion—the directory will offer the resources, advocacy, and collaboration opportunities to cultivate what the AACC calls “a vibrant arts ecosystem in Airdrie.”

Tara Pickford, Chair of the AACC, said launching this membership directory is a huge milestone for the council.

“It’s more than just a list—it’s a hub for connection, collaboration, and celebration,” Pickford explained. “This directory will not only break down silos but also serve as a key piece in showcasing Airdrie’s incredible depth of talent and creativity.”

The membership tiers begin at $25 annually, and cater to interests across the arts and culture space.

An Artist membership provides individual artists with custom profiles, event promotions, and workshops. The Advocate membership, aimed at businesses and groups, delivers event promotion, sponsorship opportunities, and advertising benefits. Champion memberships support non-profits and community organizations while the Companion membership level allows individuals passionate about arts and culture to contribute through donations and attend events.

“These initiatives follow the AACC’s recent undertaking of the Annual Airdrie Mayor’s Night of the Arts on February 8, 2025,” Pickford added. “This celebrated gala honours the incredible contributions of local artists, educators, and organizations.”

Additional AACC initiatives launching in 2025 include a community arts calendar and mentorship programs offering workshops and funding opportunities.

Pickford invited all artists, organizations, and community members to join its efforts and contribute to Airdrie’s dynamic arts community.
