For the Love of Art at Carmel Art Association (Dolores Street between 5th and 6th, Carmel) is back. As always, the exhibit celebrates the artistic talents of Monterey County’s high school juniors and seniors. A reception from 5-7pm, along with an award ceremony at 6pm, takes place on Saturday, Feb. 8. The program started in the 1940s and was picked up again in 2013. It has stimulated interest in high school visual arts education courses and inspired young art students to create and explore their talents. The above work by Pacific Grove High School senior Vivian Ming is titled “Brilliant Billions of Stars.” To see other student works, visit CAA until March 3. None of the artworks lack color or imagination.
