
Twice a year, IFEMA MADRID’s Pavilion 14.1 (and other venues around the city) are turned into a giant catwalk showcasing the most coveted creations by leading fashion designers and visionaries from around the world, both established and new. The first MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK MADRID of the year will be taking place from 19 to 23 February 2025, an unmissable event for signature fashion in Spain that offers the biggest showcase of Spain’s fashion industry. 2025 marks 40 years of Madrid’s fashion week, highlighting the exquisite quality of signature fashion design.
Mercedes-Benz FASHION WEEK MADRID (MBFWM), the biggest fashion event in Spain, celebrates its 81st edition in February 2025 , showcasing important innovations in the sector, with the aim of consolidating its position as a leading platform for the Spanish fashion industry and one of the biggest events in the world.
MBFWM is the perfect platform for designers looking to raise their brand profile and link them to fashion and new trends. The programme features designs by new up-and-coming creators presenting their collections, as well as shows by established designers.
As usual, MBFW Madrid has an interesting OFF Programme for each day of the event, featuring prestigious Spanish designers. As in past editions, the last day will be dedicated to emerging designers from Samsung EGO, showing all the latest developments in the renewal of Spanish fashion. The L’Oréal Paris Prize for Best Collection by a Designer and the L’Oréal Paris Prize for Best Model will also be presented. These awards recognise the work involved in making each garment and each look as well as the talent of all the team members.
Calendar 2025
The 2025 edition promises to be even more special during its 40th anniversary year. It features the return to the catwalk of outstanding designers, established names and rising stars in the industry who will determine the trends for the next season.
The runway show calendar will kick off on 20 February with Baro Lucas, presenting a collection characterised by subtlety and modernity. Yolancris will then take the reins, a label recognised for its exceptional haute couture, with a collection full of romance and artisan detail. Fashion label Mans will bring to the stage its vision of modern men’s tailoring, with sleek lines and a palette that balances the classic and the avant-garde. Pedro del Hierro will also be present with a proposal based on timeless elegance and garments that fuse comfort and style; and Menchen Tomas promises a runway show full of delicacy and femininity. The first day will also feature shows by Álex Rivière and Claro Couture.
The second day, 21 February, will begin with Simorra and a collection that pays tribute to contemporary artisanship. This will be followed by presentations from Isabel Sanchis, one of the biggest names at this show; Hannibal Laguna will show creations that celebrate sensuality and glamour; Ynésuelves will bring a breath of fresh air with youthful dynamic designs; Custo Barcelona will stand out with pieces brimming with colour, prints and energy; and Pablo Erroz will be showcasing his trademark versatile urban style. Friday’s events will draw to a close with Malne, a label known for its commitment to contemporary haute couture.
The third day, 22 February, will begin with Paloma Suárez, whose designs stand out for their strength and personality. Later Odette Álvarez will present its elegant bohemian style; Fely Campo will offer a collection featuring structured silhouettes and precise fabrics; JNORIG will be making its début at MBFWMadrid with contemporary designs; Angel Schlesser will display its characteristic sophisticated minimalism; and Lola Casademunt By Maite is back with a fun and dynamic proposal. Bringing this day of eminent design proposals to a close, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada will put her stamp on the event with a show full of fantasy, colour and creativity.
The last day will be dedicated to emerging designers, including Rtama and Studio Cumbre, with fresh, conceptual proposals; Odis and Aleixandri Studio with designs that explore new forms and materials; PAT Equilux and Aligeo Studio, creating pieces that respond to the present with an avant-garde touch; and Bonet and Antonio del Canto, who will take their proposals to the limit with bold, groundbreaking pieces.
Finally, David Moss, together with the international special guest firm, will put the finishing touches with a collection that promises to surprise and excite. In parallel, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent Award will be presented, recognising the most outstanding emerging talent of this edition, celebrating the creativity and innovation that define the future of fashion.
