The Treasure Coast Food Bank offers a free nutrition class at the City of Sebastian Community Center on the first Friday of each month from noon to 1 p.m.

While lunch isn’t provided during the monthly “lunch and learn” program, participants will enjoy a food demonstration, a small tasting, and a recipe to take home.

Learn how to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your meals, shop for healthy foods on a budget, make smart choices when eating out, control portion sizes, and cut back on salt and sugar.

Topics include:

• Budget-friendly healthy eating
• Smart dining-out strategies
• Portion control tips
• Lowering salt and sugar in your diet
• And other essential nutrition advice!
