Troy University has announced an exciting new partnership with Element Health to provide students in the Nutrition and Kinesiology programs with enhanced educational opportunities and professional development. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to academic excellence, hands-on learning, and career readiness in the growing health and wellness sector.
Through this partnership, Element Health will introduce three key initiatives designed to support student growth and career preparation:
Preceptorship Program
A cornerstone of this partnership is the establishment of a preceptorship program for senior students who maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5.
The program is designed to prepare students for real-world challenges in nutrition and wellness, giving them a competitive edge in their careers. This 135-hour immersive experience will allow students to work closely with experienced health coaches and registered dietitians, gaining practical skills in health assessments, wellness planning, and lifestyle medicine applications.
Scholarship Program
Recognizing the importance of academic excellence, Element Health is introducing an annual $500 scholarship for one outstanding Troy University student each year from 2025 to 2028. This scholarship will be awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional commitment to the fields of nutrition and wellness, further supporting their academic and professional aspirations.
Annual Onsite Visits
To bridge the gap between classroom education and practical application, Element Health will conduct annual onsite visits to Troy University. These visits will feature interactive presentations, discussions on current health trends, and career development sessions. Students will have the opportunity to engage with industry professionals, gaining insights into health coaching, dietetics, and lifestyle medicine.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Troy University to empower Nutrition and Kinesiology students as future leaders in wellness. Through engagement initiatives and scholarships, we aim to bridge academic learning with practical experiences, equipping students to make a meaningful impact,” Dr. Rebecca Kelly, CEO and Founder of Element Health, Inc. stated.
“This partnership underscores our commitment to advancing education and fostering the growth of emerging health professionals.”
This initiative marks an important step forward in TROY’s mission to provide students with opportunities that enhance their learning and career readiness. With Element Health’s support, students in the Nutrition and Kinesiology programs will gain valuable experiences that prepare them to excel in the evolving health and wellness industry.
