Application period opens for Peoria Arts & Culture Grant

The city of Peoria is now accepting applications for the 2025-26 Arts and Culture Grant Program. This is an opportunity for nonprofit arts organizations and Peoria-based creative sector businesses to apply for financial support for programs, performances and events that inspire, enhance, and support the pursuit of creative endeavors in Peoria.

This year’s cycle has updated criteria in two categories. The revamped Arts Projects category now allows up to two applications for $7,500 each in different projects. The revised Peoria-based Arts Organizations category now encourages more collaboration through entities from different sectors working together to maximize overlapping goals and audiences for projects up to $10,000. The Emerging Entrepreneurs in the Creative Sector category awards projects up to $5,000 and focuses on film and media, music and entertainment, and culinary arts.

Community events and HOAs can also apply for funding with an emphasis on events or programs that showcase arts and culture. Previously, funding was awarded on a rolling cycle but now the event and HOA applications must be submitted within the grant cycle.

All activities, programs and events must take place within the City of Peoria. First-time applicants for the grant program are required to attend an in-person or online training session at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, at the Peoria Community Services Building, 9875 N. 85th Avenue, in the Point of View Conference Room.

Returning applicants are encouraged to also attend the workshop to ask questions and review requirements. One-on-one appointments to answer questions are available on a limited basis between Feb. 24 and March 14.

The application period closes March 31. Applicants can apply at cityofpeoriaaz.submittable.com.
