Heidi’s peacock costume took more than 1,963 hours to create, according to the press release, and consisted of a blue bodysuit and a matching mask with feathers.
The model partnered with Cirque du Soleil, the world’s largest contemporary circus, and makeup artist Bill Corso to bring the concept to life, the press release adds.
On the orange carpet, Heidi was accompanied by an entourage of 10 Cirque du Soleil acrobats, the press release states. When stood together, the performers appeared to be dressed as the tail of the peacock, while Heidi’s husband, Tom Kaulitz, was dressed as a giant peacock egg.
