Brad Pitt recently chastised Angelina Jolie for refusing his lawsuit against a French winery.
Pitt asked a Los Angeles Superior Court judge to deny Jolie’s recent sale, according to a new document acquired by RadarOnline.com.
For the uninitiated, Pitt reportedly sued Jolie last year after she sold her part in Chateau Miraval, a French winery they owned while married.
The Troy actor stated that the former couple purchased the estate with the intention of turning it into a winery that they could pass down to their children.
Following their 2016 divorce, Pitt stated Jolie approached him in 2021 and asked him to leave the firm.
According to the actor, he began looking for a buyer and then he and his team secured a contract to pay Jolie $54 million for her 50% ownership.
However, the contract fell through after allegations of domestic violence by Jolie against Pitt surfaced during their divorce.
Later, Jolie sold her part in the company Nouvel to a Russian oligarch named Yuri Shelfer.
Pitt stated that Jolie broke a vow not to sell her stake without his permission, which she did.
According to a recent lawsuit filed by Pitt’s lawyers, Jolie surreptitiously sold her ownership in Château Miraval to a conglomerate headed by a Russian oligarch in 2021..
Jolie arranged for Pitt, “without his consent, into partnership with a stranger and inviting that stranger to share not only Pitt’s family business but also his family home.”
Pitt claimed Jolie did not ask his permission before selling her part in their company and that her accusations are incorrect.
“Jolie is wrong—the Complaint cites many statements Jolie made over the years. But in any event, implied-in-fact contracts based on conduct are well-established under California law, and the detailed factual allegations in the Complaint— which Jolie resists or ignores—state such a claim,” Pitt’s lawyer noted.
Finally, Pitt stated that “Jolie’s summary efforts to dismiss these independent claims are meritless.”
