Start off March with a new batch of our Channel Surfing TV picks. The next chapter of the MCU arrives with Daredevil: Born Again. Lt. Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee have a new case to solve in the third season of Dark Winds. Then, The final season of The Righteous Gemstones begins.
A Man without Fear
The MCU has been laying the groundwork for a Daredevil and Kingpin reunion with the same stars of the Netflix series. Charlie Cox appeared as Matt Murdock/Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law while D’Onofrio played a key role in Hawkeye. Now the two rivals will come face to face in Daredevil: Born Again.
Both characters have made their way up in the world. Murdock builds the reputation of his law firm fighting for justice while Wilson Fisk has grand political ambitions. As the exploits of their past identities begin to be made public, each find their paths colliding with the other.
Daredevil: Born Again launches Tuesday, March 4, on Disney+.
Stopping a Monster
The upcoming season of Dark Winds finds Lt. Leaphorn and Jim Chee searching for two missing boys. Unfortunately, the only clues they have to go on are an abandoned bicycle and a blood stained patch of ground. Elsewhere, Bernadette Manuelito begins her new job 500 miles away as a border patrol agent where she stumbles upon a conspiracy that involves both human and drug smuggling.
There are several new additions to the cast. They include Jenna Elfman as FBI Special Agent Sylvia Washington, Bruce Greenwood as Tom Spenser, Raoul Max Trujillo as Budge, Tonantzin Carmelo as Border Patrol Agent Eleanda Garza, Alex Meraz as Border Patrol Agent Ivan Muños, Terry Serpico as Border Patrol Senior Chief Ed Henry, Derek Hinkey as Shorty Bowlegs, Phil Burke as Michael Halsey, and Christopher Heyerdahl as Dr Reynolds.
Dark Winds returns Sunday, March 9, on AMC.
The Family’s Back Together
The Righteous Gemstones may be coming to an end, but based off of the trailer, it seems the series is going out with a bang. The siblings have so much going on such as Jesse’s failed entrepreneurial attempts, Judy’s husband competing in pole dancing, and Kelvin incorporating his new out lifestyle into his televangelism.
However, the biggest plot seems to be Eli finally moving on from the death of his wife. We see many hints that there are new ladies in his life, but none of his children can fathom the idea of their father with someone else.
The season four premiere of The Righteous Gemstones airs Sunday, March 9, on HBO.
