Artists wanted for downtown Glendale revitalization project

PHOENIX — The city of Glendale is looking for artists to help revitalize the West Valley suburb’s downtown area.

The art initiative is part of the Downtown Campus Reinvestment Project.

“The city of Glendale is poised to embrace new industries, innovation and growth opportunities that elevate its brand as a community of choice, which embodies its mission to improve the lives of the people we serve every day,” Christopher Taylor, Glendale arts and culture administrator, said in a press release.

The City Hall campus is at the heart of the transformation, Taylor explained. The winning art submission will be installed on south building of the campus, facing Glendale Avenue.

“This campus will serve as a focal point for business, community engagement and public interaction as we strengthen our efforts to activate downtown Glendale as a unique cultural, business and entertainment district within the city,” Taylor said.
