Last Friday, 29-year-old Love Island star Ekin-Su Culculoglu was in the middle of a nightmare when her trip from Turkey back to the UK took a scary turn.

The plane’s engine is said to have burst into flames and sparks, which shocked Culculoglu and her boyfriend, Davide Sanclimenti. Culculoglu’s fear was clear as he compared the strange situation to a scene from a movie.

When the plane had to make an emergency stop in Antalya, the situation became even more serious. The scary thing happened right after the plane took off from Bodrum airport, giving everyone on board the chills.

Ekin-Su tweeted about the situation, saying, “Nightmare experience @jet2tweets the flight from Bodrum to Manchester the engine on the left exploded 4 times flames and sparks…something from a movie.”

“Emergency landed in Antalya. Most terrifying experience ever! Still worried about if we will make it safe.”

As Ekin-Su and Davide got back together after a breakup, they posted about their trip on Instagram.
