Cardi B Plans to ‘Come In Strong’ With Beauty and Fashion Joint Venture

Cardi B has her mind on the “Money” with a new business partnership.

In a new WWD profile, the Grammy winner announced that she’s established a venture with Revolve Group, with whom she’ll launch fashion and beauty lines. Joining Cardi are Revolve Group leadership members and the rapper’s longtime personal team, including her stylist, Kollin Carter, and manager Patience Foster. Cardi also plans to release her long-awaited sophomore album this year, which will follow her 2018 debut, “Invasion of Privacy.”

“I personally believe that I put a lot of people on a lot of trends. It’s not even about getting paid, but it’s not appreciated,” Cardi told “WWD.” I gotta do this for me because I don’t get thank yous. If I don’t have a good year, I don’t get, ‘How have you been?’ Nobody does that. It’s time for me to do s–t for my own self, not for everybody else.”

Cardi also plans to “come in strong” with her new business ventures, with her forthcoming fashion line offering “curve-hugging” ensembles. In the profile, Cardi also emphasized leaving behind a profitable legacy for her three children, Kulture, 6, Wave, 3, and a newborn daughter, whom she shares with estranged husband Offset.

“Coming from a Caribbean family the goal is always to OWN! Our belief in leaving this earth and leaving our children is leaving them with something!” Cardi wrote on Instagram, alongside images from her “WWD” feature.

“But in my mind I know that when I leave this earth I would like to leave my kids more than property and a music catalog,” she added. “I want to leave them wit something they can carry for generations to come, something that their mother built from the ground up.”

Cardi’s been known to keep a bag full of endorsement deals, previously collaborating with NYX, Pepsi, Reebok, and more.
