Women’s Tennis Readies for Auburn and NC State Invites


Auburn, Ala. / Raleigh, N.C. – Ole Miss women’s tennis split up again to compete in the final two tournaments of the fall season. Five Rebels will compete in the Auburn Fall Invite, and four will travel to Raleigh, N.C., for the N.C. State Invite.

Auburn hosts the Auburn Fall Invite in the Yarbrough Tennis Center. Briana Crowley, Lucie Devier, Emma Kette, Rachel Krzyzak, and Reka Zadori will compete in singles and doubles brackets. The Auburn Fall Invite consists of players from eight other schools, including four SEC opponents.

N.C. State hosts the N.C. State Invite. State in the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. Ludmila Kareisová, Ava Hrastar, Kelsey Mize, and Andrea Nova will represent the Navy and Red in singles and doubles competitions. 

Teams will be made up of two players (a doubles) team for the NC State Invite. Matches will be a six-game set for doubles with a five-minute warmup followed by a two out of three-set singles match; third sets will be played out. In Auburn, team will play a hidden dual format.

Ole Miss women’s tennis team will compete in the tournaments from November 3-5.

– Joins the Rebels after three seasons at Northwestern

– Ranked as high as No. 40 in doubles
– Former Blue Chip five-star recruit

 Lucie Devier (Sr.) – Etrechy, France
– Earned first singles win as a Rebel at the Roberta Alison Invitational
– Returns to Ole Miss after missing all last season
– Transferred from North Texas in 2022
– Earned 2021 C-USA Newcomer of the Year

 Ava Hrastar (Sr.) – Duluth, Ga.
– A fall record of 5-4 in singles and doubles
– Ranked as high as No. 6 in doubles and No. 65 in singles
– Two-time NCAA Doubles Championship qualifier
– 2022 All-American and All-ACC Third Team honors
– Former five-star recruit, ranked 1st out of Georgia and 18th nationally

Ludmila Kareisová (Jr.) – Liberec, Czechia
– Earned a singles victory in qualifying in ITF W15 Jackson
– Entered the year ranked No. 42 in singles
– 2023 NCAA Singles Championships qualifier
– Named 2023 All-SEC Second Team
– Career record of 28-25 in singles and 30-24 in doubles  

Emma Kette (So.) – Rammelsbach, Germany
– Advanced to the Maroon singles final at John Cade Classic
– Earned a singles victory in qualifying in ITF W15 Jackson
– Finished 2023 with a 12-10 singles record and 11-9 doubles record
– Appeared in all 24 matches in the spring

Rachel Krzyzak (Jr.) – Milton, Ontario, Canada
– Compiled a 6-3 singles record in the fall
– Appeared in all 13 conference matches in 2023
– Career singles record of 25-24 and a doubles record of 20-28 

Kelsey Mize (Sr.) – Tulsa, Okla.
– Finished 2023 ranked No. 78 in doubles
– Tied the team lead in doubles victories in 2023
– Has 23 career singles wins and 39 career doubles wins

Andrea Nova (Fr.) – Prague, Czechia
– Advanced to the Maroon singles final at John Cade Classic
– Compiled a 7-1 singles record in the fall
– Comes to Ole Miss ranked as high as No. 298 in the ITF Junior Rankings

Reka Zadori (Sr.) – Szeged, Hungary
– Sits in 32nd place on the Ole Miss all-time career singles wins list
– Set a career-high 22 singles wins, along with nine doubles victories
– Has a 54-38 career singles record and a 22-18 career doubles record
– Her 9-3 record at No. 6 singles was the best in the SEC

SINGLES SUCCESS
The Rebels have seen tons of success in singles during the fall season. Six of the ten players who have competed in tournament play have five or more singles wins. Freshman Andrea Nova leads the packed with her 7-1 singles record, winning her last three matches.

THREE REBELS IN TWO FINALS
It was an outstanding weekend for the Rebels at the John Cade Classic in Starkville. The four Rebels compiled four doubles and 10 singles victories in the three-day tournament. Nova and Kette advanced to the MarOon singles final, and Zadori made it to the White singles final.

ROBERTA ALISON INVITATIONAL
In the two-day tournament, Ole Miss earned two doubles and six singles wins. Krzyzak and Devier made it to the final of the Alba Cortina and Dominique Wilkens singles brackets, respectively.

MILESTONE
Zadori’s win in the first singles round at the ITA South Region Championships marked her 50th career singles win. She currently sits in 32nd place on Ole Miss’ all-time career singles wins list with Florencia Basile.
