Why: Fernando Jorge has surged onto the global jewelry scene in recent years, and his traveling exhibition with Sotheby’s might as well be his victory lap. Beginning November 1 in NYC, the auction house will unveil Jorge’s latest high jewelry collection, which he considers to be “the highest expression” of his work to date. The 16 exclusive pieces mark a departure from his traditionally minimalist approach to high jewelry, paying homage to his vibrant Brazilian heritage through color, texture, and unconventional materials. In addition to the New York exhibition, followed by showcases at Sotheby’s London, Dubai, and Zurich galleries, a selection of Jorge’s pieces are available on Sotheby’s online marketplace.
