Women’s Tennis Announces 2024 Spring Schedule


CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Traci Green, The Sheila Kelly Palandijian Head Coach for Harvard Women’s Tennis, announced today her team’s 2024 spring schedule. Highlighting the slate are seven dual matches and the ECAC Championships in February.

The Crimson will open its dual season on Jan. 17, when it plays host to crosstown foe, Boston College. Following its home contest, Harvard will hit the road to Texas and Nebraska for four big-time matchups against Texas A&M (Jan. 20), Rice (Jan. 21), DePaul (Jan. 27), and Nebraska (Jan. 28). The Crimson will be tested early, with three of the four matches coming against team’s that ended their 2023 season inside the top-75 of the ITA Team Rankings.   
 
Breaking up its opening 13 non-conference tilts, Harvard will return home Feb. 9-11 to play host to the 2024 ECAC Championships. The squad will look to improve on its third-place result last season as it welcomes conference foes to Cambridge. 
 
Following ECAC action, the Crimson will hit the road again, heading to South Carolina to take on Furman (Feb. 17) and Liberty (Feb. 18) to close out February competition. 
 
Following a couple weeks off, Harvard will open up March by welcoming a pair of northeast opponents in Boston University (March 2) and Army (March 3) to campus. Hitting the road one final time before Ivy play, the Crimson will take a trip out west to face three California foes. Harvard will take on Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State, and LMU over the span of five days beginning March 12.
 
Closing out March and its non-conference schedule, Harvard will return home and welcome UMass Amherst on March 30. In April, the squad will begin its run to an Ivy League championship beginning with Yale on April 5. The women will play host to three opponents in Brown (April 7), Cornell (April 13), and Columbia (April 14), while facing Yale (April 5), Penn (April 20), Princeton (April 21), and Dartmouth (April 27) on the road.
 
Harvard finished last season with a record of 12-10 overall and 4-3 in conference. The Crimson will look to build on 2022-23 with the return of several key players and the addition of the No. 6-ranked women’s recruiting class, according to TRN. Harvard is led by recently elected captains, Rachel Arbitman and Angel You.
