The American automaker took a more understated approach this year during its appearance at the New York Auto Show. In fact, Jeep used the occasion to unveil the new 2025 Wagoneer Overland, a slightly reworked version of the SUV designed for venturing a little farther off the beaten path.

Unsurprisingly, this is a direct response to recent “ruggedized” offerings from the competition, such as the Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro and the Ford Expedition Tremor. The new Jeep variant rolls on 20-inch wheels wrapped in 32-inch all-terrain tires, but there’s more here for off-road enthusiasts. It also comes with the Quadra-Drive II 4×4 system and Quadra-Lift air suspension, which provides up to 10 inches of ground clearance. Additional skid plates have been added under the front of the vehicle to protect key mechanical components, and at the rear to safeguard the fuel tank.
Rounding out the off-road hardware are three tow hooks—two up front and one removable at the rear—a towing package rated for up to 10,000 lb, and even a 360-degree camera system.

Jeep has also added a new Rock mode to its drive settings, specifically tuned for tougher terrain, along with a trail cruise control system that lets the driver focus solely on steering, while the system manages throttle and braking.
Visually, the Wagoneer Overland stands out with a black contrast roof and roof rails, as well as all-weather floor mats inside the cabin.
And since this version is built for adventures off the grid, the infotainment system includes a new feature called Off-Road Pages+. It provides interactive maps and trail guides for over 200 routes across North America, with free access for two years.
The only catch? Production will be limited to 2,000 units, and only a very small number are expected to be allocated to the Canadian market.
