Shannon Beador, a Real Housewives of Orange County star, has avoided jail time in her recent DUI hit-and-run case.
A California judge handed down her punishment on Thursday, which included 36 months of informal probation as well as penalties and costs.
Beador must also complete 40 hours of community service and enroll in a nine-month alcohol program.
The reality TV star did not appear in court, instead allowing her attorney to represent her and submit a no contest plea to one count of DUI and one count of driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or above.
The single count of hit-and-run with property damage was dropped by the judge.
According to a person close to Beador, she was relieved and grateful to avoid jail time.
The encounter has been a valuable learning experience that has led her to a better life. She has embraced sobriety and is said to be making good progress.
According to legal documents acquired by TMZ, Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer attempted to urge the judge to sentence Shannon Beador, 59, to 30 days in jail.
Beador made headlines after being arrested in September following an automobile accident that caused her vehicle to collide with a Newport Beach property.
Beador was caught on video driving through a residential area before hitting with the side of a house.
District Attorney Spitzer disclosed in court filings that Beador had a blood alcohol content of 0.24 percent at the time of the crash, which is three times the legal limit.
As a result of the mishap, Beador sustained a fractured left wrist as well as cuts and bruising to her left eye. She then accepted responsibility for the property damage she caused to the house she struck.
Shannon Beador’s attorney, Michael Fell, told DailyMail following her arrest in September, “Shannon is extremely apologetic and remorseful. We will be awaiting the official information on this case as it becomes available, and Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions.”
