After staging its annual “A Christmas Carol” production at the Providence Performing Arts Center in 2024, Trinity Repertory Company will bring its holiday tradition back home in 2025.

The return of “A Christmas Carol” and the entire 62nd season of performances was announced on Thursday, April 24.

“I am particularly excited about next season because it feels like a homecoming for some of our long-time artistic collaborators,” the Laura H. Harris Artistic Director Curt Columbus said in a statement. “Directors like Richard and Sharon Jenkins, Amanda Dehnert, and Ben Steinfeld have a long history with our company, but their work hasn’t been on our stages for a while. Newer directors like Tatyana-Marie Carlo and Aileen Wen McGroddy share a vision and passion that falls in that same Trinity Rep tradition. With works from contemporary playwrights and classics such as Shakespeare and Dickens, this season is not to be missed!”

While all shows are returning to Trinity Rep’s home at 201 Washington St., they will be performed in the downstairs Dowling Theater as renovations of the Chace Theater continue.
