Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Chairman Mokhtar Abdel Latif and Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad have signed a number of agreements in the field of environment conservation projects.
Mokhtar said that the AOI gives a top priority to enhancing cooperation with the Ministry of Environment as well companies of the public and private sectors, in order to implement eco-friendly projects.
These projects aim to meet the need of the local market with competitive prices for various compatible products, the head of the AOI added.
He hailed the fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Environment in various industrial fields, including environmental protection projects and solid waste management.
Mokhtar emphasized AOI’s commitment to implementing state’s comprehensive development plan.
Atico Wood Industries Factory, which is an affiliate to the AOI, has sealed a deal with and Asian company Green Avenue for treatment and recycling, to establish a joint venture for recycling used tires with an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons during the first phase, Mokhtar added.
Meanwhile, the environment minister praised cooperation with the AOI in solid waste management projects.
