Sydney’s Miu Miu dress is an homage to Kim Novak, specifically a gown she wore in the 1968 movie The Legend of Lylah Clare. Sydney is playing Kim in a movie directed by Gala co-chair Colman Domingo, so the link to the theme is tenuous at best.
