Town Square Lobby Gallery in downtown Green Lake welcomes the talents of Minnesota-based artists Rosalie Spahr and Kristin Webster throughout this month. The artists’ joint exhibition brings together rope-based textiles and nature-inspired acrylic paintings for a showcase of texture and color.

Located at 492 Hill St., the gallery is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Spahr, a textile artist originally from Ripon and now based in Minnesota, blends traditional sewing techniques with natural materials such as driftwood, jute and sisal. Her handcrafted baskets and decorative pieces invite a sense of calm and connection with the earth, making everyday objects into works of art.

Webster, a contemporary painter also from Minnesota, is known for her joyful depictions of flower gardens, landscapes and wildlife. Her work celebrates the therapeutic power of nature and color, capturing the energy and serenity of the outdoors on canvas.

“We love the whimsical nature of their art and how they set the scene with their beautiful work,” Town Square Program Coordinator Zoe Niemuth said.

This collaborative exhibit reflects Town Square’s mission to celebrate local creativity and create space for community connection through art.
