DALLAS, TX – Harvard men’s tennis began play in its final tournament of the fall today by picking up nine wins across doubles and singles play at the SMU Invite. 
 
Beginning the day with doubles, the Crimson took home three wins including two coming from the duo of David Lins and Alan Yim.  Lins and Yim were able to defeat Allen/Steinhausen (SMU), 7-5, and Owen/Barnett (BYU), 6-4, to pick up their second and third wins of the fall season.  Grabbing the final doubles win of the day was the duo of Marc Ktiri and Valdemar Pape with a dominant 6-1 victory over Coignet/Vicaire (TAMU CC). 
 
The Crimson then went on to dominate singles plays, going a perfect 6-0 on the day.  Ktiri and Lins each won their matches in straight sets, improving to 8-1 and both remaining as the singles win leaders for the squad.  Pape and Delloye each battled through two sets and tiebreakers to claim their victories.  With the matches even, the Crimson sophomores both posted 10-4 results to slide past their opponents. 
 
Alan Yim registered another straight set win for the Crimson by defeating Avery Zavala (TAMU CC), 6-2, 7-5.  Closing out singles for the team, Perera claimed the most dominant victory of the day by dropping less than two games in his straight set victory over Lucas Shurdevin (TAMU CC).  The sophomore won 6-0, 6-2 to improve to 5-3 on the season.
