Since 2001, the Duck Brand Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest has encouraged high school students across the US and Canada to create crafty promwear entirely out of Duck Tape for a chance to win college scholarships. Here’s a glimpse at the incredible costumes and winners who have made this contest a tradition worth celebrating.

Fairy Tale-Inspired Couple (2004): Bibbidi…Bobbidi…Duck Tape? Cinderella-inspired creations took home the crowns in ‘04.

10th Anniversary Winners (2010): These electric blue, swirl-embellished ensembles dazzled online voters, racking up over 44,000 votes to take home the win during the 10th anniversary of the contest.

Current Events-Inspired Dress (2020): In 2020, a COVID-19-inspired dress turned heads with a powerful blend of creativity and commentary during the pandemic.

Trendsetting Tuxedo Look (2022): Trends took center stage with this pink, stylish Duck Tape® design. As the first female to win the tux category, this look showcased how more girls are redefining formalwear with confident, tailored looks.

Heritage-Inspired Tux (2024): Paying homage to your heritage is one way to win. This captivating Charro-style tuxedo took home the grand prize of $15,000 in last year’s contest.

Students have until June 4th to submit their creations for a chance to win $15,000 and they can apply here.
