NEW ULM — Christmas gifts including tea, jewelry, body butter, a variety of food and other items are available at the 39th Annual Arts & Crafts GnomeMade Market at 20 historic locations and artisan homes this weekend.

Schoolhouse 186 at the corner of Brown County Road 29 and County Road 12 is open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items include raw honey, tea, essential oils and hand, crossbody and mega bags, paintings, wall hangings, pillows and many wood products.

Free tea samples made by Schoolhouse 186 owner Tracy Beckman. Ingredients include lemonade, tea, Tang, sugar, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon.

“Most of the items here are homemade,” said Beckman.

Beckman’s niece Harper Kochie, 10, of Caledonia displayed bracelets she made from clay beads.

“I got the idea to make bracelets at a Taylor Swift tour I went to this summer that included people trading bracelets,” Kochie said. “My friend introduced me to the beads and I decided to make them myself.”

Christa Tess Kalk brought items to the Holiday Haus Air B&B at 16 State St. N. from her Minnesota Makers Local Artisan Goods stores in Minneapolis, Robbinsdale and Excelsior.

Items included candles, jewelry, knit caps, many essential oils, wine glasses, mugs and wood products.

Turner Halle items included lots of jewelry and Turner Ladies food like Schmear Kuchen (German coffee cake), apple turnovers, homemade bread, cinnamon rolls, landjaegers plus pints and quarts of sauerkraut and German potato salad.

The Wellness Co. Market, 15 South Minnesota open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday only features many decorative fall embroidered kitchen towels and a bakery with gluten and dairy-free baked goods such as macaroons, cupcakes, scones, cookies and cake. Hand-crocheted hats and stuffers and more are available including home decor, gemstone jewelry, cleansing bundles, crystal bracelets, bath salts.

The Brick Marketplace at the New Ulm Armory, 205 N. Broadway open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday features many gifts and a bake sale.

The New Ulm Women’s Expo and Craft Fair at Jefferson Elementary School, 318 S. Payne, will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday with many vendors.
