Volvo and Google have built on their existing partnership that will see the automotive brand be the first to launch the Google Gemini artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot into its vehicles. The chatbot integration will see drivers and passengers alike able to use Gemini to send texts, play music, get direction and much more. This will be accessible through the natural language capabilities of Gemini that will allow users to talk naturally to the assistant for a more organic interaction.
Head of Global Software Engineering Alwin Bakkenes spoke on the expanded Volvo and Google partnership saying, “Through this partnership with Google, we are able to bring the very latest features and capabilities from the leading consumer eco-system into our products first. With our expanding partnership, we’re collaborating on cutting-edge solutions that shape the future of connected cars.”
