Local artists show their skills


“Even though we are in very technical times, there’s always been a desire to have something handmade,” Denise Morris said. Morris, of Morris pottery, joined fellow artists at the May 10 grand opening of the Mille Lacs Artisan Co-op to sell handmade crafts and encourage creativity.

Items for sale included pottery, jewelry, leatherwork, wood crafts and sculptures and yarn or fiber arts.
