FLINT — Mott Community College (MCC) has announced the opening of the 67th Annual Student Art Show, an all-media exhibition featuring the creative achievements of more than 80 student artists from the 2024–2025 academic year.
With more than 250 works of art on display, the show is a vibrant showcase of talent across multiple disciplines — including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, graphic design, ceramics, and digital media.
The exhibit runs now through June 27 and is free and open to the public from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Visual Arts and Design Center on MCC’s main campus in Flint. Many of the works are available for purchase, making this a perfect opportunity to start or expand your personal art collection while supporting emerging local artists.
“We welcome the entire community to come celebrate the incredible works of art in a variety of mediums created by our students,” says Shaunda Richardson-Snell, President, Mott Community College. “We are so proud of their achievements and applaud each of our art competition award winners throughout the year as well. This exhibit is a shining example of the Extraordinary Student Experience and the high caliber, visual arts faculty here at Mott.”
In addition to the visual artwork on display, this year’s show will feature a special international film collaboration. Between Feb. 10 and March 20, documentary film students from Universidad San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador) and Mott Community College engaged in a filmed correspondence, capturing daily moments from the perspective of their student lives. The result is a filmic letter that offers a compelling cross-cultural glimpse into the ordinary — and extraordinary — rhythms of student life across continents.
