Sirens
If you’re hooked on fisherman aesthetics, let us direct you to Netflix’s new limited series Sirens. The five-episode dark comedy unfolds at the coastal estate of a socialite with a cult-ish following. Among the home’s fascinating finds are a wall hanging made of braided rope and netting, a chair shaped like a bird’s nest, and a 40-foot-long anchor in the yard. Plus, there’s seemingly endless framed wall art of the beach, sea, and birds.

The Gilded Age

The Gilded Age returns on June 22, and season three promises more luxurious eye candy. Many historic houses and opulent mansions lent backdrops for the drama’s previous seasons, from The Breakers in Rhode Island and Lyndhurst Mansion in New York. So if there’s one thing the upcoming installment can reliably serve up, it’s good visuals.

And Just Like That…

We Were Liars

This summer is all about quintessential coastal destinations and waterfront properties. Another new show contributing to the lineup is We Were Liars, which centers on a group of teens who annually summer on a private island in New England. But when a mysterious accident happens, their whole dynamic shifts. The Prime Video series, based on the novel by E. Lockhart, premieres on June 18. Proceed with caution, as we suspect it’ll induce serious summer vacation envy, strictly from a setting perspective, of course.

The Buccaneers

In The Buccaneers, young American women travel to London to secure husbands and titles. Set in the 1870s, the Apple TV+ series kicks off its sophomore season on June 18. In reality, the drama was filmed in gorgeous settings around Scotland. Naturally, any story focused on 19th-century high society wouldn’t be complete without equally impressive interiors for the characters to frequent.

The Summer I Turned Pretty

Ever since The Summer I Turned Pretty premiered in 2022, we’ve been obsessed with the transitional Colonial house where much of the coming-of-age tale takes place. Set in the fictional town of Cousins Beach, the idyllic property has a universal coastal feeling thanks to its exterior filming location and the interior set design (more on those here!). In the Prime Video show’s final season, premiering on July 16, we venture back for one last time.

The Better Sister

While The Better Sister is all about a murder that reunites two estranged sisters (played by Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks), the new eight-episode limited series on Prime Video also presents enviable New York real estate. One of the sisters owns a penthouse apartment in the city and a house in the Hamptons—a combo of many aspiring property portfolio builders’ dreams.

Government Cheese

Government Cheese may have premiered in April, but the season finale dropped recently, so we’re counting it. Set in California’s San Fernando Valley circa 1969, the show follows a man who reunites with his family after being released from prison and decides to launch a new invention, a self-sharpening power drill. But it’s the show’s fun, midcentury style that’s arguably the main reason to tune in.
