ATHENS – The Museum of Cycladic Art Summer Camp 2025, ‘Under the Sahara and Beyond!’ will be held in seven five-day sessions from June 16-August 1.
This year’s summer camp invites children on a vibrant journey through the countries of Sub-Saharan Africa, where they will explore music, dance, storytelling, traditions, and visual arts— all serving as inspiration for their own creations.
In the framework of the ‘Marlene Dumas: Cycladic Blues’ exhibition (June 5-November 2) at the Museum of Cycladic Art, children will also engage in conversations about the human form, experimenting with a variety of techniques and materials. They will create clay sculptures, oversized masks, expressive patterns, story illustrations featuring jungle scenes, and artworks using improvisational color techniques.

Throughout the week, children will participate in a wide array of activities, including games— rhythmic, musical, dance, and theatrical— competitions, and storytelling.
On the final day, the youngsters will set up and present their own exhibition for parents and guardians, showcasing all they created during this imaginative week.
Seven five-day sessions: June 16-20, June 23-27, June 30-July 4, July 7-11, July 14-18, July 21-25 and July 28-August 1.
The five-day session from July 21-25 will be conducted in English and is designed exclusively for children whose first language (mother tongue) or second language is English.
