BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (WVVA) – Starz Performing Arts Academy opened the curtain this weekend on their 25th anniversary and ‘Anthologie’ recital.
The show consisted of performances from dancers of all ages, and even a live vocal performance of ‘Defying Gravity’ from ‘Wicked’. This spring recital is a chance for Starz dancer to show what they’ve learned, while also putting on an engaging performance for family and friends.
The owner of Starz, Gabrielle Massey, reflected on how much they’ve grown as an academy.
“I honestly can’t believe how far this has come, from being such a small, I don’t know, I feel like a speck in the community to being a pillar in the community and bringing together so many artists, so many young artists,” said Massey.
Congratulations to all these young dancers, and to Starz for 25 years.
