PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown Men’s Basketball Head Coaching Chair Mike Martin ’04 has announced the team’s captains for the 2023-24 season. Nana Owusu-Anane will be a captain for the second consecutive season and will be joined by senior Malachi Ndur.
Both hailing from Canada, the duo are veterans on the frontcourt for the Bears and were voted captains by their teammates.
Owusu-Anane played in 25 games and made 24 starts last season, averaging 10.3 points and a team-high 8.2 rebounds (second most in the Ivy). Nana posted four double-doubles on the year, including a career night in a win over Columbia (January 21) when he finished with 27 points and 18 rebounds.
Ndur played in 16 games and made three starts last year.
The season begins on Monday, November 6 when the Bears visit Colgate for a 7 p.m. tip.
